Invites you to experience an artistic adventure. Sunday, February 6, 2011 Join us for a killer story, original music, great acting, and very dry martinis – all part of the afternoon presentation of Dan Harder's newest play, "The Killer Story". Hillside Gardens A reception of savory hors d'oeuvres and noir-era drinks will be followed by selections from "The Killer Story". Renowned director, Chris Smith, brings together three of the Bay Area's most talented actors and a musical performance by chanteur/composer extraordinaire, Mark Growden to create a rich theater experience. Helping to MC the event will be special guest, Nathaniel Stookey, celebrated composer of, among other pieces, "The Composer Is Dead" and the soaPOPera, "Zipperz" (to be performed at the Marin Civic this March). "The Killer Story" is a noir tale about a tough, bright private eye who outsmarts everybody, including himself, as he attempts to find a mysteriously missing neuroscientist on the verge of creating a revolutionary/evolutionary "brain chip". Hired both by the scientist's wife and his business partner, our detective, instead, spins a tail that ends up trapping all of them in a "killer story".
